Contractor Agreement

Version 1.0 • Effective from 2025-01-01

Important for contractors

This agreement applies specifically to you who offer services on Helpo. It complements the general terms of service and describes your obligations as a contractor on the platform.

1. Scope of Agreement

This Contractor Agreement (the "Agreement") governs the relationship between you as a contractor ("Contractor", "you") and Helpo, org.no XXXXXX-XXXX ("Helpo", "we", "us") when you offer services via the Helpo platform (the "Platform").

By registering as a contractor and/or applying for jobs on the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept this Agreement and the general Terms of Service.

2. Your status as a contractor

2.1 Independent contractor

You are an independent contractor – NOT employed by Helpo.

You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance and other statutory obligations. Helpo is only an intermediary between you and the customers.

As an independent contractor:

  • You decide which jobs to take and when to work
  • You are responsible for your own tools and materials
  • You have the right to hire subcontractors (if the customer approves)
  • You invoice for your services (not salary from Helpo)

2.2 What Helpo is NOT

  • Helpo is not your employer
  • Does not pay taxes or social contributions for you
  • Does not provide employer insurance
  • Does not guarantee a certain number of jobs or a certain income
  • Does not determine how or when you perform the work

3. Requirements for contractors

3.1 Basic requirements

To operate as a contractor on the Platform, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have the right to work in Sweden
  • Provide accurate personal and contact information
  • Have the necessary qualifications for the services you offer

3.2 F-skatt registration

F-skatt is strongly recommended

Contractors with verified F-skatt receive:

  • Verification badge on profile
  • Access to RUT/ROT eligible jobs
  • Increased credibility with customers
  • Easier to be selected for jobs

F-skatt verification is done through the Platform and must be renewed annually. If your F-skatt expires or is revoked, you are obligated to notify us immediately.

4. Your obligations

4.1 Towards customers

  • Perform agreed services professionally and with care
  • Keep agreed times and deadlines
  • Communicate openly and honestly
  • Report problems or delays immediately
  • Respect the customer's property and privacy

4.2 Towards Helpo

  • Follow the Platform's rules and guidelines
  • Keep profile information updated
  • Use the Platform's messaging system for communication
  • Not circumvent the Platform's payment system
  • Report problems or violations

4.3 Tax obligations

You are responsible for:

  • Reporting and paying income tax
  • Reporting and paying VAT (if applicable)
  • Accounting for income and expenses
  • Providing accurate information for DAC7 reporting

DAC7 reporting

Under EU Directive DAC7, Helpo is obligated to report contractors who earn more than EUR 2,000 or complete more than 30 transactions per year to the Swedish Tax Agency.

5. Payment and fees

5.1 How payment works

  1. 1.The customer pays to Helpo's escrow account upon booking
  2. 2.You perform the service
  3. 3.Both parties confirm the job is completed
  4. 4.Helpo releases payment to you (minus platform fee)
  5. 5.Payout within 3-5 business days

5.2 Platform fee

Helpo charges a service fee on each completed transaction. The current fee is shown in your account and with each job application.

5.3 RUT/ROT deductions

For contractors with F-skatt, customers can apply for RUT or ROT deductions. The deduction is administered by the customer via the Swedish Tax Agency – you receive full payment from Helpo's escrow system.

6. Disputes and problems

6.1 Dispute process

If a dispute arises with a customer, we follow the Platform's standard process:

  1. 1.Direct negotiation between parties (7 days)
  2. 2.Mediation via Helpo (14 days)
  3. 3.Decision by Helpo if no agreement is reached

6.2 Cancellations

  • Notify the customer and Helpo as soon as possible
  • Repeated cancellations may negatively affect your profile
  • Cancellations without valid reason may lead to warning or suspension

7. Reviews and ratings

After each job, the customer can leave a review. Your rating affects:

  • Your visibility in search results
  • The likelihood of being selected for jobs
  • Any bonuses or benefits

Fake or manipulated reviews are prohibited and will lead to suspension.

8. Insurance

We strongly recommend that you have:

  • Liability insurance: Covers damage you cause to the customer's property
  • Accident insurance: Covers you if you are injured during work
  • Property insurance: Covers your own work tools

Helpo does NOT provide insurance for contractors.

You are responsible for having appropriate insurance coverage for your business.

9. Suspension and termination

9.1 Voluntary termination

You can stop using the Platform at any time. Complete all ongoing jobs before closing your account.

9.2 Suspension by Helpo

Helpo may suspend or terminate your account for:

  • Violation of this Agreement or the Terms of Service
  • Fraud or suspected crime
  • Repeated negative reviews or complaints
  • Circumventing the payment system
  • False information about qualifications

10. Changes to the agreement

We may update this Agreement with at least 30 days notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Agreement.

11. Applicable law

This Agreement is governed by Swedish law. Disputes are settled by Swedish general court with Stockholm District Court as the first instance.
